Donald Trump Falsely Claims Endorsement from Taylor Swift and Her Fans

Recently, former President Donald Trump shared several images purportedly indicating that the acclaimed pop star Taylor Swift and her fanbase, colloquially known as “Swifties,” are endorsing his presidential campaign. The images, presented on the social media platform Truth, showcase fans of Swift appearing cheerful while donning shirts emblazoned with the phrase “Swifties for Trump.”

Among the images circulated by Mr. Trump is a screenshot from a satirical website claiming that the cancellation of Swift’s concerts in Vienna, due to a foiled terrorist plot, motivated her followers to support his candidacy for the upcoming November 5 elections. Additionally, one of the shared images depicts Miss Swift dressed in attire reminiscent of Uncle Sam, accompanied by the caption: “Taylor wants you to vote for Donald Trump.”

In his post, Mr. Trump expressed his agreement with the images, stating, “I accept!” This particular post has garnered over 9,000 likes on Truth Social.

It is noteworthy that Taylor Swift, a prominent figure with considerable influence among younger demographics in the United States, has not publicly endorsed any candidate for the forthcoming elections. In the previous presidential race of 2020, she openly supported the current president, Democrat Joe Biden. Furthermore, on August 7, speculation arose regarding her potential support for Vice President Kamala Harris after a photograph shared on Swift’s Instagram page featured a silhouette resembling the Vice President. However, it was later clarified that the silhouette was merely one of the dancers from her concert tour.
